Terms of use
EasyTerp.com is an online platform for booking qualified sign language and communication professionals. By accessing and using our services, you accept and agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
Eligibility
To use EasyTerp, you must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United Kingdom, the EEA, or the US. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
Platform role
EasyTerp operates as an online marketplace that connects customers with independent qualified professionals. We are not the provider of the professional services booked through our platform. Professionals are independent practitioners responsible for the quality and delivery of their own services.
We do not maintain a public directory of professionals. We do not advertise anyone's name, credentials, or personal data. Information provided by professionals is used only internally to find and match them with the best-suited customers. A customer only receives a professional's contact details after that professional explicitly accepts a booking invitation.
Self-employment status
Professionals using EasyTerp operate as independent, self-employed individuals. EasyTerp does not employ, direct, or supervise professionals. The platform facilitates connections between customers and independent professionals. Professionals are responsible for their own tax affairs, including compliance with HMRC rules on self-employment and off-payroll working (IR35). Use of the platform does not create an employment relationship.
Definitions
Platform Fee means 10% of the amount charged to the customer, subject to a minimum of £5. The Platform Fee is deducted from professional payouts and covers payment processing, service coordination, and platform operations. For completed bookings this is 10% of the full agreed price; for cancellation compensation it is 10% of the cancellation charge amount.
Company information
EasyTerp.com is a trading name of Fomson Limited, company number 10974844, registered in England and Wales. The platform is wholly owned and operated by Fomson Limited. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO registration number: ZB283404).
User responsibilities
- Provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Use the service in compliance with applicable UK laws
- Respect the rights of other users and professionals
- Not misuse the platform for fraudulent or unlawful purposes
- Maintain only one account per person and not share your account with others
Intellectual property
All content on EasyTerp.com, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of EasyTerp or its licensors and is protected by UK and international copyright laws.
User content
By submitting content to the platform (such as reviews, messages, or profile information), you grant EasyTerp a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating the platform. You are solely responsible for the content you submit and must ensure it is accurate, lawful, and does not infringe any third-party rights.
Reviews and feedback
After a booking is completed, both customers and professionals may be invited to leave a review. All feedback must be honest and based on genuine experience. You must not manipulate, coerce, or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. We reserve the right to remove feedback that is defamatory, abusive, or otherwise in breach of these terms.
Platform communication
All booking-related communication between customers and professionals should be conducted through the EasyTerp platform. This helps protect both parties and allows us to assist in the event of a dispute.
Service availability
The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We strive to maintain service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice where possible.
Account termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. You may deactivate your account at any time from your account settings. Once deactivated, you can either reactivate later or permanently delete your data. You can also contact us at hello@easyterp.com and we will remove your data for you.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Subject to the above, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability in connection with any booking shall not exceed the amount you paid for that booking.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold EasyTerp harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the platform, or your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.
Payments and pricing
All prices displayed on the platform are in pounds sterling and inclusive of VAT where applicable. By placing a booking, you agree to pay the charges shown at the time of booking. Payment is processed through our payment provider using the payment method associated with your account.
We charge a platform fee of 10% (minimum £5) for each successful booking. There are no subscription costs, signup charges, or hidden fees for either customers or professionals.
Access to Work bookings
For bookings funded through Access to Work, your card is saved but not charged at booking time. After your service, we generate an invoice for your Access to Work claim. If your claim is not submitted within 30 days, your card will be charged as a fallback.
Professional Payments
In line with NUBSLI guidance on payment terms, EasyTerp pays professionals for completed services within 30 days of the service date. We aim to release payments as soon as cleared funds are available from the customer, which is typically much sooner.
Payout amount is the agreed booking amount minus the Platform Fee.
Payout may be delayed beyond the standard timeline in limited circumstances, including where a booking is subject to dispute, or where additional verification is required. EasyTerp will notify professionals of any such delay and provide an updated timeline.
Professionals may view their payout history and status at any time via their account settings.
Recording
Professionals reserve the right to decline to be recorded (audio, video, or otherwise) whilst working. If you require recording of the assignment, this must be arranged in advance through the platform. Recording for broadcast or publication requires explicit consent and may incur an additional fee.
Specialist work
Fees for specialist assignments (including but not limited to legal, medical, mental health, conferences, and performance interpreting) may be higher than standard rates to reflect the additional expertise, preparation, and responsibility involved.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Force majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, power outages, internet disruptions, government actions, or industrial disputes.
Third-party rights
These terms do not confer any rights on any person or party other than you and EasyTerp under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
Entire agreement
These terms, together with our privacy policy and cookie policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and EasyTerp regarding your use of the platform and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
Dispute resolution
If you have a concern or dispute, we encourage you to contact us first at hello@easyterp.com so we can try to resolve the matter informally before any formal proceedings.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
Our cancellation policy is available separately below.
Cancellation policy
The following is our default cancellation policy. Please note that the specific cancellation terms for your booking may vary - you will be informed of the applicable terms during the booking process.
Customer cancellations
A Cancellation Fee of the greater of £5 or 2.5% of the booking amount plus 50p applies only when cancelling 14 or more days before the service and payment has already been captured. This covers irrecoverable payment processing costs. For cancellations with less notice, the percentage-based charge applies directly with no additional fee.
| Time before service | Cancellation charge |
|---|---|
| 14 days or more | Cancellation fee only |
| 8 to 13 days | 50% cancellation charge |
| 0 to 7 days | Non-refundable |
The cancellation charge is the portion of the booking price that is not refunded. For example, a 50% cancellation charge means 50% of the booking price is retained and 50% is refunded.
Refunds are typically processed within 5 working days to the original payment method.
Platform cancellations
If we cancel your booking, you will receive a full refund.
Professional cancellations
If a professional cancels a confirmed booking, we will attempt to find a replacement at no additional cost to you. If no replacement is available, you will receive a full refund.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
